Action Report: A Showcase with Jason from TF232 Cerberus

Interview with Jason

So Jason is our first interview and so we wrote a few questions for him to answer about his awesome KMR Mod.

So what are we looking at here?

Here we have my latest mod which is from a Taidi M4, with the results being a Keymod AR15.

Please give us the run down on the modifications you have done to this project?

The list of modifications i have done are, removable mag, Magpul MOE pistol grip, Black Dragon Keymod rail RIS, steel buffer tube with a Magpul STR stock and a Visionking Optic.

What research was taken prior to the project beginning?

Looked around on Haley strategic website and looked at Google images for Keymod rail AR’s to get an idea of what I wanted and then went from there.

How long did it take to create?

This mod is currently still going as I haven’t had much time to do anything but all I got left to do is attach the pistol grip and buffer tube and I am done.

Rough cost in parts?

Off the top of my head the costs including the Taidi M4 and all materials to complete the mod would be roughly around the $500 mark, give or take.

Would you do it again?

Definitely do it again as this isn’t my first mod. It’s great fun and the end product is satisfying enough to put the costs in the back of my mind hahaha.

What’s your favourite Armoured Heaven product?

Wow too many to say a favourite of, but definitely the Taidi M4 and M16 DMR range of toys, also the ever so amazing Detonics M1911.

What’s your personal opinion on the best/easiest toy to work with on the modding table?

Well my main armoury consists of the DMR’s or Taidi m4 so I’d say either one of them but with the DMR slightly in front as the RIS hand guard comes off making it easier to mod.

Are you apart of any costume group that does this for fun at conventions?

I am one of the founding members of Task Force 232 *Cerberus* and I am apart of a great group of mates and always enjoy attending cons with them and not to mention helping each other out with mods and parts… my biggest Con and also experience as a part of TF232 would be attending EB Expo 2013 and getting to promote the awesome Battlefield 4 game and having the chance to meet the face behind the entire Battlefield franchise, Lars Gustavsson!!!

Officially geared up for Rock ‘n’ Roll at EB Expo standing at the EA Australia’s Battlefield stand!

Thanks Jason for the interview! So happy to support you and our close friends at TF232 Cerberus! You’ll definitely be hearing more from Jason about the cosplay group as the year progresses!!!

The groups first major convention roll out for this year is Supanova in Sydney in less than 2 weeks! If you see them there, make sure to grab a picture!!!
